RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE PARENTS / GUARDIANS

(a)  Parents are requested not to enter the classrooms to see their children or teachers during the school hours without  permission  of the Principal.
(b)  They are required to inform the school if there is any change in their address or telephone numbers.
(c)  Leave for ½ day should not be asked for security reasons. In emergency, written permission must be taken from the Principal through the class teacher and the bus-in-charge.
(d)  Children, when sick, should not be sent to school to attend tests / classes.
(e)  Attention of parents is drawn to the fact that criticism of the teacher or school in the presence of their children should be scrupulously avoided because it causes the students to lose respect for their teachers with the consequent failure to learn from them. It further retards their progress.
(f)   Parents are advised to grant pocket money very judiciously to the students.
(g)  Should there be any legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal at once or send a sealed letter addressed to him/her. He/she will look into the complaint personally.
(h)  Any communication made by parents / guardians should be addressed to the Principal and not  to the class teachers and all correspondence from the school  to the parents must  be through the principal.
(i)   The report card is an important document and should be kept safely.  If the report card is lost, a replacement will be made on payment of Rs. 100/-.
(j)         The name, admission number, class, section and house of the students should be clearly marked on their belongings such as bags,  blazers, jerseys, tiffin boxes, water bottles etc.
(k)        Parents are requested to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children’s progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality, discipline and by taking interest in their homework. They should check the diaries of their wards daily.
(l)   Care must be taken of all school property and any damage caused by a student will be made good by the student concerned. In addition to it a fine will be imposed for the offence.
(m) It is not advisable to bring to school valuable articles like watches, fountain pens, transistors, radios, tape recorders, calculators and jewellery. In case of any loss of valuables or other articles the school authorities will try their best to trace these but shall not undertake any responsibility for the loss.
(n)  The students should be recognised not only by their School uniform but also by their good conduct and behaviour as students of New Era Public School.
(o)  Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities in all matters relating to school by infusing a sense of discipline in children.
(p)  Please sign the occasional reports which the Management, Principal, Vice Principal or teachers make in the calendar / diary.
(q)  Please ensure  that  the children do their home work and periodical work in time.
(r)   Parents are requested to meet the Class Teacher on specific days with regard to their wards’ progress in studies.
(s)  The school calendar is compulsory for all students.
(t)   PARENTS / GUARDIANS OR ANY VISITORS ARE FORBIDDEN TO VISIT THE CLASSES AND TALK TO THE TEACHERS OR STUDENTS DURING CLASS HOURS WITHOUT WRITTEN   PERMISSION OF THE DIRECTOR  / PRINCIPAL  /  VICE  PRINCIPAL.
(u)  Interaction between parents and teachers is necessary in educating a child. The educational process cannot be fully effective without the active involvement of the parents (or guardians), who have to provide the right environment at home where the children spend most of their time. A Parent-teacher meeting is organised on a convenient day in each term. These meetings provide excellent opportunities to parents to discuss the performance and behaviour of their children in different  fields with their teachers and exchange suggestions in order  to work collectively  towards the over-all improvement of the students.
(v)  Parents/Guardians should go through the diary daily and sign up in the space provided. Any comment/remark or communication may be made with the teachers through diaries.
(w)  Only the concerned Parent/Guardian whose signature is in the admission form will be allowed to take their ward from the School during the School hour. Any other person/stranger other than this signature will not be entertained to collect children from the School.
